Common questions
Which Base64 format is supported?
This tool uses standard Base64 with the A–Z, a–z, 0–9, plus, and slash characters. Padding with equals signs is supported, and whitespace is ignored when decoding. URL-safe Base64 characters are not converted automatically.
Can it handle Chinese characters and Emoji?
Yes. Text is converted through UTF-8 bytes, so Chinese characters, Emoji, and other Unicode text can be encoded and decoded correctly.
Is the text uploaded?
No. Encoding and decoding run in your browser. No account is required, and the text is not sent anywhere.
